DYNAMIC DUO: Designer Cynthia Rowley and her husband Bill Powers will receive the Chicago School of the Art Institute’s Legend of Fashion Award this April. The school selected Rowley, who attended the school from 1978 to 1981, and her husband, who co-owns Half Gallery and serves as judge on Bravo’s Work Of Art, citing their ability to fuse fashion and art, which is a mission of the school. The pair will receive the award at the school’s 78th annual student fashion show and benefit on April 19. Past Legend of Fashion Award winners include Chicago retailer Ikram Goldman, fashion designer Maria Pinto and costume designer William Ivey Long.
