COTÉ CEO AT CAROL ANDERSON: Lynne Coté has joined Carol Anderson by Invitation as its new chief executive officer.
The company, also known as CAbi LLC, is a direct-sales marketer of ready-to-wear women’s apparel. Coté had been ceo of apparel retailer Tribal Sportswear Inc. since 2009. Before that, she spent six years at Jones Apparel Group as ceo of its apparel business divisions, which include wholesale bridge, better and moderate apparel, suits and dresses. Before that, she held various senior positions at McNaughton Apparel Group, which was subsequently acquired by Jones.
The CAbi model provides 3,300 entrepreneurial consultants with a home-based business in the fashion industry.
Private equity firms Irving Place Capital and J.H. Whitney completed a joint investment in CAbi last year.
