SOUND OF MUSIC: "Two babies in one evening!" enthused Gabrielecorto Moltedo at a party Thursday night to hatch his first Milanese store and online sales for his Corto Moltedo accessories brand.

As a screen displayed a specially commissioned short film by Dustin Lynn, guests including Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Delfina Delettrez and Giuseppe Zanotti mingled in the courtyard behind the store, located just off the luxury hub of Via Montenapoleone.

Designed in collaboration with architect Roberto Gerosa, the 1,200-square-foot boutique was formerly an antiques store, and Moltedo has kept at least one relic - an old piano that greets customers at the entrance. Music is a major inspiration for the designer, who this season has expanded into hats and scarves. "I transmit the impulse I get from music videos onto handbags," he explained.
