SOFIA’S CHOICE: Louis Vuitton keeps rolling out surprising design collaborations. After teaming up with Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons on monogram leather goods, which are sold out of a temporary Tokyo store, the French luxury giant has tapped Sofia Coppola to do a range of handbags and shoes, according to sources. It is understood the products will be sold worldwide and launched in Japan. The filmmaker is often a front-row fixture at Vuitton, and currently stars with her father, Francis Ford Coppola, in its “core values” campaign.
