NORTH AND SOUTH: Buyers visiting the Who’s Next Prêt à Porter Paris fair, whose next edition will be held from July 6 to 9, will now also have access to three Danish trade shows: Gallery, Copenhagen International Fashion Fair and Vision — the key events of Copenhagen Fashion Week, which runs August 8-10 — and vice versa. The partnership will last for two seasons, and will be renewed for the winter trade shows at the beginning of 2014.
“This collaboration with the Copenhagen Fashion Week trade shows will allow our visitors to access over 4,000 labels with just one badge,” said Xavier Clergerie, general manager of WSN Development, owner of Who’s Next Prêt à Porter Paris.
Organizers said the tie-up is designed to develop each event's international audience, encouraging buyers from Northern Europe to visit the Paris event and those from Southern Europe to visit the Danish trade shows.
As European trade shows are bracing for a tough second half of the year, the initiative marks a move to accentuate cross-border synergies.
