Fashion's Night Out may be old news but two of Tokyo's most influential multi-brand stores are still in recession-fighting mode. Gallery Beams and Addition Adelaide have collaborated with a group of designers and artists to produce a special mini-collection that will be available at each retailer's Harajuku outpost from October 22 to 29. Brands involved in the project include Anne Demeulemeester, Christopher Lee Sauve, Givenchy and FAD3.

The event kicked off Thursday with a mini parade between the two stores, during which participants shouted, "Fuck the recession! Save fashion!" Beams reprised the theme with an equally provocative window display featuring simulated police tape emblazoned with the same slogan.

Later that night, "Save Addition Adelaide X International Gallery Beams"  hosted an opening party featuring special guests Christopher Lee Sauve, a graphic designer and art director, and David Lindwall, a model, fashion designer and musician. Lindwall played a set as guest DJ at the party.
