Chambre Syndicale Hosting Showcase

The exhibition, called “Pas de Robe, Pas de Défilé” (“No dress, no fashion show” in English), opens tonight with a party.

CLOTHES CALL: Who can compete with the Paris runways? Fourth-year students at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne school decided not to, and will showcase their work via an exhibition entitled “Pas de Robe, Pas de Défilé” (“No dress, no fashion show” in English). Starting Feb. 29, the students’ collaborative project, a group portrait using muslin sewn with red twine, will be displayed in the school’s foyer at 119 Rue Réaumur.

To celebrate, the students are hosting a party tonight that includes a concert by up-and-coming band Electric Guest, a cuisine-couture workshop by chef François-Xavier Bogard, the “Impossible Works” exhibition of photos organized by fashion philosopher Donatien Grau, as well as a photography workshop by Matthew Stone.
