MARCH FOR PAYMENT: Former “Project Runway” contestant Chris March managed to navigate a relatively conflict-free path through the show’s fourth season. His post-reality TV career departed from that pattern last month when he sued designer Thierry Mugler for allegedly failing to pay him for work he performed as head of costumes for Beyoncé Knowles’ “I…Am” tour. According to a complaint filed in New York Supreme Court on July 23, Mugler hired March to create, pattern and fit costumes for the tour, but has not paid March and Carelli Costumes Inc. $44,502.66 worth of submitted invoices. A Mugler representative declined comment Thursday. The suit does say Mugler and his Tancrede Prinz LLC did pay separate invoices in the sum of $75,538.97. March’s attorney, Leslie Ben-Zvi, reiterated the suit did not name Knowles herself as a defendant. “Chris continues to be a fan and great admirer of Beyoncé, who looks beautiful in everything she wears, especially Chris’ costumes,” Ben-Zvi wrote in an e-mail. March and Carelli are seeking payment of the invoices and attorneys’ fees.
