CHANGING OF THE GUARD: Alessandro Dell’Acqua is saying “ciao” to Les Copains after three seasons at the Italian label, WWD has learned. The Italian designer’s contract has come to an end, and he was only marginally involved in the design of the spring collection showing in Milan today, according to a source familiar with the matter. It was not known who will replace him.
Founder and chairman Mario Bandiera in July appointed Luca Bertolini as the first chief executive officer of Les Copains, in line with his strategy to restructure the label’s parent company, BVM SpA, based in Bologna, Italy.
