BERLIN — Germany’s fragrance industry gathered to honor new and classic scents at the Duftstars awards gala Thursday night. Designer Roberto Cavalli was on hand to receive this year's special personality prize.


Sì by Giorgio Armani and Dior Homme Cologne topped the Prestige category, while Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Hermès Terre d'Hermès were lauded as Classics.


Coty Prestige scooped up both Exclusive prizes for Bottega Veneta Eau Légère and Bottega Veneta pour Homme.


Duftstars attendees gave Sì by Giorgio Armani a nod for best print campaign, while best TV spot was conferred on Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noire animation. Marc Jacobs Honey won best bottle design accolades.


The publicly chosen People's Prize for Prestige went to Boss Jour Pour Femme from Hugo Boss, and Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Male.


P&G Prestige won the Women's Lifestyle prize for its Christina Aguilera Unforgettable, while the Men's Lifestyle prize was awarded to its James Bond 007 Quantum. Both fragrances also picked up the People's prize in the Lifestyle category.


Soul chanteuse Lisa Stansfield and Norwegian hip-hop duo Madcon provided entertainment as guests swilled cocktails containing featuring elderflowers and other fragrant ingredients.
