CARLYLE’S BUY: The Carlyle Group, which owns 17.8 percent of Moncler, has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Italian clothing company Light Force SpA. Founded in Capri by Tiziano Sgarbi and Simona Barbieri, Light Force SpA controls the Twin-Set Simona Barbieri diffusion line, which posted revenues of 103 million euros, or $130 million at current exchange, in 2011. According to the contract, which will be finalized by the end of August, Sgarbi and Barbieri will maintain a minority stake in the company, which they will continue to manage.
