Omega to Commemorate 2014 Winter Olympics With Watch

The official Olympic timekeeper has created two special editions of its Seamaster Planet Ocean to mark the event.

CALLING TIME: Omega is getting an early start on the race to the Olympics Winter Games in the Russian city of Sochi. The official Olympic timekeeper has created two special editions of its Seamaster Planet Ocean watch to commemorate the event, scheduled for Feb. 7 to Feb. 23, 2014. Both the men’s and women’s version will be available in a limited edition of 2,014 pieces. Details on price and availability were yet to be confirmed.

The men’s wristwatch comes with a 45.5 mm stainless steel case and matching bracelet. It features a black ceramic bezel with minutes lacquered in blue and red, in homage to the colors of the Russian Federation flag. The case back is embossed with the “Sochi 2014” Olympic logo and engraved with the limited-edition number.

The women’s version features a 37.5 mm stainless steel case but with a white ceramic bezel and a white crocodile leather strap. It also features the colored minute markers on the bezel and the logo-embossed case back.
