C. WONDER’S NEW CEO: Christopher Burch’s C. Wonder has a new chief executive officer: Harlan Kent. A 13-year veteran of Yankee Candle, Kent was president and ceo there until last month. Jarden Corp. acquired Yankee Candle in November.

Kent began at C. Wonder this month. Christopher Burch, ceo of Burch Creative Capital, is the founder of C. Wonder.

As for his background in apparel and accessories, Kent counts a stint at Totes-Isotoner on his résumé in the late Nineties, where he was a senior vice president, and he was a director at Rue 21. Kent takes over the top branding spot vacated in March by former president Andrea Hyde, who left to become ceo of Reese Witherspoon’s as-yet-unnamed lifestyle company.
