BudhaGirl founders Susie Hoimes and Jessica Jesse feted the launch of their new jewelry line with a private dinner on the second floor of La Grenouille here. Editors and friends of the brand sipped cocktails and perused the “spiritually-inspired” collection of costume jewelry, which retails from $35 to $595. The line includes vibrantly-colored Buddha pendants, pink and tangerine stingray shagreen bracelets and 18 karat gold-plated stainless steel cuffs that, like a locket, open for the storage of daily reminders.
Before dinner was served, both the founders toasted the new collection and their close friendship, while Ken Downing, fashion director of Neiman Marcus, listened intently. “I just love this collection,” he said, raising his glass of Champagne. “It’s very fun. It’s great.”
The collection can be purchased at Elizabeth Charles, Ceylon Et Cie or on Budhagirl.com.
