MAGNIFICENT SEVEN: Seven of London’s emerging men’s wear talents have been named by the British Fashion Council (BFC) as recipients of the NewGen Men sponsorship, allowing them to show their spring/summer 2014 collections during the next round of London Collections: Men shows, from June 16 to 18. Agi & Sam, Astrid Andersen and Nasir Mazhar will all show on the catwalk for the first time as part of the Topman-sponsored initiative, while Lee Roach, Matthew Miller and Shaun Samson will make a return to the runway. Martine Rose will receive support to show her collection in a presentation.

As well as financial assistance and showcasing opportunities, all recipients of the sponsorship will receive tailored business and mentoring support, with a view to increasing the success of their business commercially and building relationships with key press and buyers. The designers were chosen by a selection committee comprised of representatives from the BFC, Matches, Topman, Mr Porter, Dazed & Confused and GQ.
