BRITS IN PARIS: Designer Paul Smith and Browns owner Joan Burstein will be the guests of honor Friday evening at an event at Paris City Hall hosted by the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine. Each is to receive the Vermilion City of Paris award during the reception, to which Chambre Syndicale member companies have invited their most prestigious buyers. Following its inauguration in June 2011, this is the second event for international buyers initiated by Hermès’ Patrick Thomas and Lanvin’s Thierry Andretta, who are president and vice president, respectively, of the Chambre Syndicale.
