Brentwood Acquires Marshall Retail Group

Marshall operates specialty retail stores in the casino resort and gaming destinations at major casino-hotels and airports.

BRENTWOOD ACQUIRES MARSHALL RETAIL GROUP: Brentwood Associates has acquired specialty retailer Marshall Retail Group for an undisclosed amount.

Brentwood, the Los Angeles-based private equity firm with close to $1 billion under management, counts men’s footwear brand Allen Edmonds and women’s apparel and accessories direct marketers Soft Surroundings and Sundance as part of its current investment portfolio. The company’s realized investments include equestrian-focused apparel and footwear firm Ariat International, jewelry firm Chamilia, outdoor apparel firm Filson, and action sports teen retailer Zumiez, which it took public in 2005.

Marshall operates specialty retail stores in the casino resort and gaming destinations at major casino-hotels and airports. There are over 150 retail locations across 10 states and Washington, D.C., with over 70 locations in Nevada and 24 locations at Atlantic City, N.J.
