BARING ALL: Desigual, the fashion chain from Barcelona, says its “undie party” promotion is coming to America. Two undie parties will be staged at Desigual’s Manhattan locations, first at 594 Broadway today and Tuesday at 358 Fifth Avenue. According to a New York spokesman, the first 100 to show up in underwear get a free outfit (one top, one bottom) of their choice. Everyone in line after the first 100 gets a 50 percent off voucher. At both stores, the line starts at 7 a.m., people should strip down at 9 a.m., and the first 100 will have from 10 till 11 a.m. to shop for their free outfits.

Earlier in the summer, Desigual’s Barcelona store staged an undie party. Desigual also has U.S. stores in Los Angeles, Miami and Las Vegas and, this fall, will open in San Francisco. A headquarters for the chain’s growing operations in North America is expected to open later this year in Herald Square in Manhattan, housing corporate offices, a design studio and a showroom. Desigual translates as “not the same.”
