BRAVO BALDWIN: Gildo Zegna and Alec Baldwin co-hosted a cocktail party at the Ermenegildo Zegna Fifth Avenue flagship for the brand’s centennial and to support the New York Philharmonic. (Baldwin hosts the Philharmonic’s weekly broadcasts.) The actor spent his summer onstage in East Hampton, in Guild Hall’s production of “Equus.” “We originally thought a crowd-pleasing comedy like ‘The Front Page’ or Noel Coward or Neil Simon was called for. But we gambled and won, because we realized if it’s a decently conceived production, people do crave that kind of drama,” he said. Playing Jack Donaghy on “30 Rock” keeps Baldwin splendidly turned out in Zegna. “Ninety-five percent of what I wear is Zegna,” he said. He still plans to retire from acting after he leaves “30 Rock.” “Everything has to come to an end. I’ve been doing this for 30 years. And no matter how remunerative it is or how exciting it may seem — and challenging at times — with the time I have left in my life, there’s other things I want to do.” Guests included Matt Lauer, Brian Williams, Peter Marino, New York Jet Jason Taylor and Maulik Pancholy, who plays Jack’s assistant on “30 Rock.”
