FASHIONABLE HEADS: Italian milliner Borsalino has tapped Francesco Scognamiglio to launch a hat capsule collection, which will be presented to retailers only during Milan Women’s Fashion Week. The range includes 20 men and women’s styles designed by the Neapolitan designer and manufactured at the Borsalino factory in Alessandria, Piedmont.
“It was great to work with Borsalino, which is a storied company with an incredible tradition,” said Scognamiglio, noting that this collaboration aims at expanding Borsalino’s offer of women’s fashion.
The collections includes a men’s fedora featuring large brims inspired by the Jewish hat tradition and embellished with a white peony held in place by a big safety pin. The women’s range shows hyper-decorated caps winking at vintage headdress styles. Retail prices range from 320 euros, or $427 at current exchange rates, to 460 euros, or $614.
