BONOBOS OPENS ON CROSBY: A posse of entrepreneurs came out to toast the newest Bonobos Guideshop in New York’s SoHo on Tuesday night, including FEED Project’s Lauren Bush Lauren, Gilt cofounder Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, designer Ernest Alexander Sabine, Thomas Sires’ Fiona Thomas and Warby Parker’s Neil Blumenthal and David Gilboa. “I’m a tastemaker! And I was in the math club in high school,” crowed Bonobos founder and chief executive Andy Dunn with a grin, surrounded by vividly patterned shirts and sherbet-hued khakis in the artfully decorated showroom. (Dunn is also an investor in Warby Parker.) The 1,000-foot retail space at 35 Crosby Street allows Bonobos shoppers to browse and try on merchandise, with orders then placed online and delivered in a day or two from a Massachusetts fulfillment center. It is the company’s sixth Guideshop location, joining existing units in New York, Boston, Chicago, Georgetown and San Francisco. Two more locations will open this summer in Bethesda, Md. and Austin, Texas.
