BOASTING ABOUT FALL: Boast, that preppie label from the 1970s, chose The Harvard Club to present its fall women’s and men’s collection Thursday. The line, which goes from court to club, was revitalized in 2010 by president John Dowling. Andy Spade, co-founder of Kate Spade and Jack Spade, is the men’s creative consultant for the line and was at the presentation greeting editors.
"I like adding attitude and drawing references from the squash culture, but twisting it a little bit,” said Daniel Pepice, designer of Boast, which added women’s apparel last spring. Known for its irreverant, collegiate style and maple leaf logo, Boast sells such stores as Scoop, Murray’s on Nantucket, and the Harvard pro shop, conveniently located right upstairs from the presentation.
