BLAME IT ON THE BUGGIES: Fendi’s furry bag charms — easily this season’s ‘It’ accessory whimsy — were the stars at a party hosted by Solange Knowles and Vogue’s Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis at Fendi’s Fifth Avenue flagship in Manhattan Wednesday. “The colors are so unique,” said Gretchen Mol, who just finished working on the fourth season of “Boardwalk Empire,” of the so-called Buggies.
The guests, including Mia Moretti, Genevieve Jones, Olivia Palermo, Hannah Bronfman, Zani Gugelmann and Jessica White, kept busy ogling the furry creatures. Knowles, in a sheared mink ensemble from Fendi’s spring collection, marveled at the brand.
“I have never seen fur played with in the way that Fendi plays with fur,” she said, admitting she had quite a pre-party hair dilemma. “I got nervous and wanted to put it back because I thought it was too much fur and hair.”
