COLOR ME BERLUTI: Berluti has cooked up a surprising collaboration with a hip retail neighbor in Tokyo, WWD has learned. When the French men’s wear brand relocates its flagship store in Ginza in December, it will unveil a capsule collection at Dover Street Market Ginza, located just a few steps away.
Alessandro Sartori, Berluti’s creative director, called Dover Street “the ideal creative hub” to introduce bags, backpacks and small leather goods in a “rainbow” palette of patinas, along with bi-color shoes, two field jackets and a pair of five-pocket pants in cotton and silk denim.
In the past two years, Berluti has relocated half of its nine stores in Japan as it expands its luxury offering from footwear to men’s ready-to-wear and accessories.
