Model Behavior... Footloose and Getting Comfortable in Berlin...

A rooster crow heralded the start of Anja Gockel's runway show. At 10 a.m., it was an early call for much of Berlin's fashion crowd.

NATURAL SELECTION: The future looks bright for designer Janosch Mallwitz, who was awarded the first Humanity in Fashion Award in Berlin on Thursday, just six months after graduating from the city’s Universität der Künste. As well as receiving a cash prize of 25,000 euros, or about $33,800 at current exchange, Mallwitz will now work together with organic clothing company Hess Natur on their next winter collection. Mallwitz’s impressive first collection included deconstructed unisex tailoring and hefty leather boots for men.
