Just take a look at the hair and makeup at Chanel on Friday.
Hairstylist Odile Gilbert created a semi-crimped coif for the show. "We worked with the softness and static of the hair everyone has in winter," she said. "We're using a texture that's maybe Seventies rock 'n' roll and made it today."
A long, veil-like, crimped section hung in front of models' faces and was topped by a headband with an ornate chain dangling below.
Since hair somewhat blurred the view of models' faces, makeup artist Peter Philips decided to go with one graphic element, which was a bold brow.
"We did the pre-shoot [of the show] and had a chance to glimpse at the collection," he explained. "It was very colorful - full of checks and tweed. So I thought we would go simple with the makeup.
"The mood was very cold and wintery," he continued. "The face is almost frosted."
To get the look, Philips applied a blush, a beige eye shadow and
semi-transparent foundation.
