BEACH CHAIR: As the summer escape from Manhattan begins in earnest next week, Reed and Delphine Krakoff will take their “Reed Krakoff: One Chair” art installation to the Hamptons for an exhibit at East Hampton’s Harper’s Books. The piece, in which the couple uses 99 felt chairs as a sort of blank canvas to explore color and shape, had its first showing in February at Manhattan’s Salon 94. It will be on display at the Newtown Lane book shop from Saturday to July 11. The space will host a reception on opening day from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

In honor of the opening, Reed Krakoff has produced a limited edition run of its Uniform Satchel bags in canvas, which will be available for purchase throughout the showing.
