BARNEYS TOONS: The holiday campaign of Barneys New York is always highly anticipated, and word is that the retailer is once again cooking up something special for the upcoming festive season. After Gaga’s Workshop last year, Barneys is said to be teaming up with the Walt Disney Co. for a very merry Disney holiday with all sorts of treats, among them a fashion film Disney is creating with Barneys’ creative team using “moving art.” According to sources, the store has been reaching out to designers, photographers, editors and other fashion insiders to “star” in the film. The cast of classic Disney figures and fashion notables could not be learned at this point, but given the colorful characters that usually frequent the front row, there should be no shortage of characters — or caricatures — to choose from.
