Bar III Adds Footwear for Fall

Macy’s private contemporary brand will debut its new collection on Tuesday.

BAR III ADDS FOOTWEAR: Bar III, Macy’s private contemporary brand, is taking the step into footwear for fall.


The collection, debuting in August, will include a range of flats, heels and boots done in materials such as calf hair and leather. Prices will start at $49, for the “Berlinda” flat with chain detail, and peak at $199 for over-the-knee boots. Dressier styles, such as the “Adalia” lace-up peep toe heel and the “Edith” d’orsay pump, are priced under the $99 mark. “We’re excited that the bar III customer can now dress in our brand from head to toe,” said Nancy Slavin, SVP Marketing at MMG. Bar III launched as Macy’s “Impulse” department’s anchor brand in February 2010 with men and women’s ready to wear. In fall 2011, home and jewelry offerings were also added.
