GALLIC ACCENT: French actress Audrey Tautou will be the mistress of ceremonies at this year’s Cannes film festival, according to pay television channel Canal Plus, the longtime official partner of the festival.

The “Amélie” star walked the red carpet in Prada at Cannes last year, when her film “Thérèse Desqueyroux” was screened at the closing ceremony of the prestigious festival. For the 66th edition of the event, she will preside over both the opening ceremony on May 15 and the prize-giving conclusion on May 26.

A former face of Chanel No. 5 perfume, Tautou starred as Coco Chanel in the 2009 film “Coco Before Chanel.”
