ART TALK: The Duchess of Cambridge addressed a crowd of 250 artists, children and supporters of The Art Room, a charity for which she is patron, at the National Portrait Gallery in London on Wednesday night. The six-months-pregnant duchess wore an Emilia Wickstead dress to speak at the gallery, where her first official portrait is currently hanging.

The duchess, an art history graduate, met artists who have donated works for a silent auction to raise money for the charity, including Jenny Saville, Yinka Shonibare, Maggi Hambling and Marc Quinn.
