ART FOR ACRIA: Just-opened Greenwich Village restaurant Cole’s has partnered with the AIDS Community Research Initiative of America, or ACRIA, to showcase artwork from contemporary artists affiliated with the nonprofit.
The walls of the buzzy fashion haunt are covered with works from Terence Koh, Stephen Ellis, Julia Chang and other artists who’ve donated works to raise funds for the organization.
On Wednesday evening, Young Friends of ACRIA and InStyle hosted a dinner to help christen the restaurant, drawing Prabal Gurung, Peter Som, Bibhu Mohapatra, Barbara Bush, Maggie Betts and Ariel Foxman to the art-filled canteen.
