ARMANI THEFT: Published media reports Monday stated that 10 Romanian citizens had been arrested in Bucharest for stealing 2 million euros, or about $2.7 million at current exchange, worth of Giorgio Armani merchandise from a trading post in Verona, Italy. The 1,378 garments, all from the Italian designer’s spring collection, had been smuggled from Italy to Bucharest in December, until investigations by the Romanian police led to their confiscation.
