While the designer of Kate Middleton’s wedding gown is still be a mystery, other fashion folk have begun to come forward with their creations for the wedding guests. Alberta Ferretti will dress Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry’s on-off girlfriend, for the Westminster Abbey ceremony and the evening party.
Ferretti has created a satin, aquamarine boat neck dress for the day, and a blue satin crepe one-shoulder gown for the dinner dance at Buckingham Palace.
“It was fascinating and stimulating to dress a young, beautiful girl like Chelsy, who transmits energy and freshness,” said the designer, who was in London on April 26 to assist Davy with the final fitting.
Meanwhile, Giorgio Armani has said he will be dressing Lady Frederick Windsor, the former Sophie Winkleman, for both the Abbey and for the dinner dance. During the day, she will wear a Giorgio Armani Privé cocktail dress in navy blue silk cady, paired with a short coat. In the evening, she’ll wear a long Giorgio Armani Privé one-shoulder dress in gunmetal grey silk chiffon with an embroidered feature on bust in same colour.
Armani will also dress Princess Tatiana of Greece and Denmark, and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.
