Anya Hindmarch Takes to the Country... Cerruti's Transformation...

London accessories designer Anya Hindmarch has teamed with Barbour to design four jackets for fall.

HINDMARCH TAKES TO THE COUNTRY: London accessories designer Anya Hindmarch is adding outerwear to her repertoire. Hindmarch has teamed with Barbour, a label known for its English countryside staples — Queen Elizabeth is a fan of its waxed cotton coats — to design four jackets for fall. The collection will be sold at Hindmarch’s own stores and at selected retailers worldwide. Hindmarch described the collaboration as “a natural partnership.” Prices for the jackets will start at 249 pounds, or $401 at current exchange.

CHANGING FACES: American artist David Malek will transform the facade of Cerruti’s flagship in Paris into an art installation until the remodeled store reopens in May. The work, entitled “Yellow Chevron Tarpaulin,” will cover the store from Jan. 15. The 4,000-square-foot store, at the foot of the Madeleine church, was the first unit to be opened by Nino Cerruti in 1967. The transformation of the new store has been undertaken by French architect Christian Biecher.
