A NEW ROLE AT WANG: Colleen Collins has been hired as chief operating officer at Alexander Wang. The position is newly created and will report to Wang’s president Rodrigo Bazan, with whom Collins will work on operations and global business strategy. Her focus will be information technology, logistics and human resources and company-wide operations. Collins joined the company in a consulting role in February. Prior to that she worked at Diane von Furstenberg for more than 20 years, eventually being named chief operating officer in 2004.
“We are looking forward to having Colleen on board in a full-time role,” said Bazan. “It’s the right time to bring someone of Colleen’s operational background expertise into the business. She has a proven track record in developing corporate strategy and growing organizations while overseeing ongoing operations.”
