ROOF RAISER: Catwalk on a hot tin roof was the story at Sisi Wasabi’s showing at Berlin Fashion Week. As guests wined and dined in the glass-ceilinged ballroom of the Hotel de Rome, a video projection appeared on the wall as the first model began her walk.  Casting eyes upward, those present realized the runway was literally over their heads. With bells on their ankles, models carefully showed off designer Zerlina von dem Bussche’s colorful collection, which is tie-dyed and printed with zoological illustrations.  Looks included a strapless yellow mini stripped with vertical zippers, and military-meets-Michael Jackson-cut jackets in black with gold hardware.  Across town, MissingLingLing took straight to the rooftops, showing a jersey collection for men and women in collaboration with niche eyewear designers IC! Berlin. The barefoot voguers flirted with the crowd as they walked inches away on carpeted catwalk atop an old factory.
