- MAIDENFORM NAMES VIETH: Christopher W. Vieth has been named chief operating officer of Maidenform Brands Inc. Vieth also has been appointed chief financial officer, succeeding Dorvin Lively, who left the company in March to join Ace Hardware as cfo and executive vice president. Vieth reports to Thomas Ward, chief executive officer and vice chairman. Vieth joins Maidenform from Blue Tulip Corp., where he served as chief administrative officer and vice chairman since November 2006. Maidenform posted sales of $422.2 million in 2007.
- KATE SPADE MARKETING HIRE: Kate Spade has hired Kyle Andrew, senior vice president of marketing at Kenneth Cole Productions, as vice president of brand marketing. Andrew will oversee public relations, advertising, retail marketing, creative presentation and creative services for Kate Spade, the smallest of Liz Claiborne Inc.'s direct brands. Based in New York, she reports to both of Kate Spade's co-presidents, Deborah Lloyd and Craig Leavitt. Prior to Kenneth Cole, Andrew held senior brand marketing roles at Gap Inc., from which Lloyd also hailed.
