Carolina Herrera hits a charming balance between soft and strict, by, for example, adding a ruffle to the hem of a clean-lined suit or pairing a lean skirt with a ruffled cardigan. For evening, she puts a tailored jacket over a fluid gown. Herrera is also doing more covered looks for day and evening, including long-sleeve dresses.
