Hurricane Hanna swept a pirate from Neverland into the tents — and he was tossing gold bouillon cubes into the audience at Betsey Johnson. The designer’s delightful imagination had her Wendys working dreamy nighties, mutinous skull-and-crossbone rompers and tropical harem pants with aplomb. It’s questionable how many of these pieces — except for little treasures like the denim admiral’s jacket or the wench-worthy off-the-shoulder dresses — will actually make it to retail, but arrrgh, it was just plain fun.
