February 14th is nigh. Whether you love it, dread it or are simply indifferent, you can never go wrong with a good piece of lingerie. In honor of the holiday's imminent arrival on Monday, WWD spoke to "lingerie queen" Rebecca Apsan, owner of Greenwich Village's lingerie den, La Petite Coquette -- and her staff of coquettes -- to find out their top lingerie picks this season. Since its opening in 1979, the boutique has become a stalwart, not-to-be-missed boutique among lovers of lacy underthings (it's even where Sex and the City's Samantha purchased her infamously "powerful" string-of-pearls thong).

See below for Apsan's three favorite get-ups, followed by some of our own editor picks, all of which can be found on La Petite Coquette's online shop, TheLittleFlirt.com.

1) For the classic girl: La Petite Coquette's signature silk chemise has a pretty lace trim. La Petite Coquette Silk X-Back Chemise with Black Lace, $195.

2) For the vixen: this sheer bodysuit with detachable garter straps by Maison Close is not for the meek. Maison Close Villa Bel Ami Bodysuit, $84.

3) For the budget babe: Blush Lingerie's garter belt in black or red is a steal. Blush Lingerie Hot Envy garter belt, $32.

WWD's faves:

1) We love the cut-out detailing on this thong by Intenzioni. Aodorata Cut-out Brazilan Thong, $120.

2) Wearing this bodysuit underneath something conservative would be devilishly fun, no? Malizia by La Perla Romance Underwire Bodysuit, $158.

3) Because we can almost imagine sleeping in this onesie rather comfortably. Almost. Mary Green Nouveau Retro Silk Satin Teddy, $73.

Whether you're single or attached this Monday is irrelevant, because as Aspan said, "Wearing pretty undies shouldn't depend solely on the hope that someone else will see them."

Now go forth and shop. And then go get it on.

Or just admire yourself in the mirror.
