Shopping for a Cause

It is one of the many unpleasant truths of life that the people who most often receive discounts are those who need them the least.
On Friday, FEED Projects launched a shop-in-shop at both locations of New York's Little Cupcake Bakeshop.  The shop features select merchandise for sale, including T-shirts and tote bags (with a round, red circle on one side and the words "FEED JAPAN" stenciled on the other), with a portion of all sales going directly to disaster relief efforts.
KRELwear, Karell Levy's nomadic knitwear line-slash-conceptual art project, is back in New York this weekend for the New Museum's inaugural Festival of Ideas, a downtown cultural extravaganza.
With Earth Day coming up tomorrow, two "green" lines -- the newly launched CrOp and Alexx Jae & Milk -- look beyond the annual holiday when incorporating eco-friendly practices into their collections.
