Currently, the fashion industry's cycle goes something like this: designers show their collections six months ahead of season; collections hit shelves for consumers several months later. Fortunately, Fashism.com (whose iPhone app and Web site allows users to try on clothing, share photos and submit them for feedback) and Timo Weiland are looking to break the fashion system's status quo.
iPhone case.pngThe two, in partnership with Samurai Love Sake, will host a hands-on opportunity at Soho Grand on February 13  where guests will be able to view Weiland's fall 2011 collection immediately following the show and actually try on the pieces. Fashism.com, which plans to livestream the entire event, will also encourage partygoers to upload images of themselves in Timo Weiland to their Web site.

The Club Room of the Soho Grand will become the VIP suite that showcases the collection as well as hair and make-up from the show, by Napoleon Perdis and ION Studio for Davines, while the Bar Room and Salon will be dedicated to a dance party deejayed by The One AM Radio. Timo Weiland and Fashism.com also collaborated on a limited edition iPhone case created by Uncommon.

With cocktails flowing freely and Weiland's signature wares at close hand, this party has the makings of an unmissable fashion fete -- as long as you're a sample size, that is.
