Rag & bone is giving original editorial content a shot with the relaunch of the brand's blog today. The new blog will be a mix of posts from within the rag & bone headquarters and have an active community of guest editors and contributors.
"The blog is another outlet to connect with our consumer on a personal level, and offer them additional insight into the lifestyle of our brand," rag & bone designer David Neville told WWD. In that fashion, the first new post is a "Desk of" feature that gives readers a look into Neville's design partner Marcus Wainright's office space (it could use a little decluttering, if we may say so).
Some of the usual blogerrati suspects have already signed up to join Neville and Wainwright with contributions, including Fashion Toast's Rumi Neely, Hanneli Mustaparta, Andrew Bevan of Teen Vogue and Sean Sullivan of The Impossible Cool -- a site you should get on board with immediately, if only for the vintage Paul Newman and Robert Redford photos.
New features include a "Stuff We Love" section, where friends of the brand -- like the aforementioned contributors -- will give insight to their favorite things (anything ranging from art to literature or favorite indulgences), a weekly "Can't Miss" post -- a quick note on films, restaurants, books, TV shows, anything that, well, can't be missed -- as well as city guides of the contributors' home towns and book/restaurant/show/exhibit reviews. The blog will also be home to videos and photos of the brand's Houston Street Project -- an initiative that gives local artists the chance to showcase their work at rag & bone's Nolita store.
