In a summer-themed styling challenge that bowed on Monday, Polyvore users will get the chance to create sets for Moda Operandi co-founders Lauren Santo Domingo and Aslaug Magnusdottir as part of the site's "Style Influence Series."
According to Magnusdottir, the collaboration was an effort of mutual fashion adoration. "This collaboration reflects the shared passion that members of our respective communities have for fashion and style," said Magnusdottir. "Polyvore also shares our vision of creating new innovative ways of engaging women online in the fashion space."
Polyvore co-founder Jess Lee agrees, "Both Moda Operandi and Polyvore have made the world of high fashion more accessible to style lovers everywhere," she told WWD. "We're constantly delighted by the creative prowess of our community and designing looks for Lauren and Aslaug is the perfect way to showcase their talents."
Users will be able to enter their sartorial choices for Magnusdottir and Santo Domingo through the morning of July 18th. The idea is to dress the ladies for a "New York summer night of rooftop parties, trendy restaurants, theatre and fun," and the winner will be personally chosen by the Moda Operandi founders to win an Eddie Borgo Bear Trap Bangle and a $200 gift card to Moda Operandi.
