"They trusted me completely to come up with something cool," said Eggenschwiler. "I was so excited over how much they liked my work that I flat out asked them if they would let me do a line of jewelry to go along with the shirts."
Named after New York City neighborhoods, the graphic cotton tees feature a melange of hand-drawn pen and ink faces, advertisements, typography and headlines Eggenschwiler culled from the Sunday Times and various fashion magazines.
The motif carries over seamlessly to the jewelry, a small collection of 18 karat gold and nickle-free brass necklaces and gemstone rings designed to complement the apparel.
The Blanda for OBEY collection, which ranges from $34-65, is available online at obeyclothing.com and karmaloop.com, as well as Urban Outfitters and Reed Space.
