Figueras, who spends his days playing polo for the Black Watch team and posing for Ralph Lauren's Polo Fragrances, will appear on the season premiere, which airs Sept. 14.
I caught up with the hunky Argentine to gossip about the gig (his first TV role), which he filmed this month.
WWD: Had you seen the show before filming this episode?
Nacho Figueras: Yes, I've seen the show many, many times. My wife [Delfina Blaquier] is a huge fan.
WWD: What was your reaction when they asked you to do this?
N.F.: First and foremost, I thought it was a great opportunity to promote Polo and my team Black Watch. Second, and most important to my wife, was that I would be able to meet Chuck Bass [actor Ed Westwick].
WWD: What can you tell us about your part?
N.F.: Luckily, my role wasn't too difficult. I play myself!
WWD: You filmed at the Greenwich Polo Club. Did any of the cast ask you For polo lessons?
N.F.: I didn't give lessons there, but Matthew Settle, who plays Rufus Humphrey on the show, is going to come riding with me this summer.
WWD: What's easier, acting or playing polo?
N.F.: Playing polo. No doubt about it. Unless all my roles are on a horse.
