The new site, which focuses on "friend-sourced" style, will have a clean, modern look that puts an emphasis on providing users with the best possible experience. New features include the Style Friend Finder - a tool that instantly connects users with fellow shoppers that share similar interests - and the Trend-o-Meter - which highlights what's hot on Kaboodle in real time. The latter is a series of ranked lists consisting of the top fashion, style and beauty products and brands on the site.
"Kaboodle's new functionality ushers in the next phase of social shopping. Peer-to-peer endorsements are the Holy Grail of retail/e-tail sales and the new Kaboodle connects users with like-minded shoppers -- girlfriend-to-girlfriend-- who will help them discover, share and buy products they love," said Anne Kallin Zehren, Kaboodle's ceo.
In addition to the overhaul, the site is hosting an anniversary party tonight that will include a crowdsourced runway show. The head-to-toe outfits, kindly supplied by Bloomingdales, will be modeled by fashion bloggers, editors and other influencers such as Yuli Ziv, founder and ceo of Style Coalition, Grace Gold of AOL Stylist and Bryce Gruber of The Luxury Spot - all inspired by Kaboodle styleboard contest winners.
