Shopkick, the largest location-based shopping app that rewards users with deals and offers upon entering stores like Macy's, Target, American Eagle, Wet Seal and more, has linked with InStyle in its first collaboration with a fashion magazine.
Shopkick works like this: upon entering a store that has "walk-in rewards" ( the app has more stores in more cities every month), the shopper turns on their smartphone and earns "kicks," which they can use towards deals on purchases.
As Shopkick's first media content partner, InStyle will extend the magazine's content to shoppers on their smartphones. Shopkick users will have access to a "Shop By Color" virtual Pop-Up Store which will offer users product recommendations and styling tips.
"InStyle makes high fashion accessible," said Ariel Foxman, InStyle editor. "Our partnership with Shopkick is particularly exciting because it allows InStyle to do this immediately on the go."
The collaboration launches today on the Shopkick app, available for purchase on iPhone and Android phones.
