Havaianas is ushering in summer with two new pop-up shops in Los Angeles and Chicago, opening Thursday.
In L.A., the brand has partnered with Urban Outfitters to house the store in its rotating designer concept boutique. "Through a partnership with our friends at Urban Outfitters, the Havaianas Los Angeles Pop-Up shop is a stunning way of bringing a slice of Brazil's vibrant culture to Los Angeles," said Havaianas USA's president Afonso Sugiyama.
Modeled after a traditional Brazilian market, the "Havaianas Mercado" will feature a "Make Your Own Havaianas" stand and will also carry the brand's graffiti collection and the new closed toe "Soul Collection."
The Chicago location also looks to bring some Brazilian flair to the Midwest. The boutique, called the "Havaianas Beach Pop-Up," is set up like a Brazilian fruit stand and conveniently located at North Avenue Beach -- prime location for all things summer in Chicago.
Like the L.A. pop-up, this location will feature a "Make Your Own Havaianas" stand, giving shoppers the opportunity to customize their flip flops with several mix and match straps and bottoms as well as 20 different pin styles. "We have a strong following of loyal Havaianas fans in Chicago and we wanted to bring them something fresh and exciting this summer," Sugiyama told WWD.
Both stores will be open through July 30th.
